Women's Takchitas
Two layers, one silhouette — the takchita is Morocco's most formal garment, made to order for weddings and grand celebrations.
A takchita is worn in two pieces: an under-dress (tahtiya) and an open, embroidered over-gown (fouqia), cinched at the waist with a belt called a mdamma. It is the garment most associated with Moroccan weddings.
Because every takchita in this collection is made to order, we prepare each piece to your measurements — see the size guide and each product's FAQ for details on timing.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a made-to-order piece take?+
Between two and three weeks in the atelier, plus delivery. For a wedding or Eid date, tell us on WhatsApp and we will confirm a realistic timeline before you commit.
How do I choose my size?+
Each product page links to our size guide with measurements in centimetres. If you are between sizes, or ordering a made-to-order piece, send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will advise before preparing your order.
Are your pieces really made in Morocco?+
Yes. Every piece is cut and finished in Moroccan ateliers, and traditional details such as sfifa braiding and aakad buttons are worked by hand by local artisans.
